Happy Halloween!
Those are last year's pumpkins, because we haven't had time this year.
This year I'm helping a friend with the Trick-or-Treating, because I have a soccer game later tonight. So our lame costumes will be to dress up like highschool soccer girls with painted faces and sparkles and pigtails. I'm pretty sure the sparkles are not going to intimidate the men on the opposing team, but it will be fun anyways.

KTS4, I think I've just become a swap addict...
I came home from a long day at work yesterday...(ahhh...everyday seems a long day at work after 2 weeks of vacation, I am so spoiled)....to a box smelling like a mix between spring and something sweet and delicious. I do wish all packages smelled like something candle-y :)
When I opened it, look what I found:
The sweet smell is from a Mango Mint Tea candle that Heather, my knitter's tea swap buddy made me, which was the source of the excellent aroma. It's now sitting on my coffee table making my living room smell pretty. I probably won't burn it for awhile because it smells so good just sitting there.
The yarn is Peace Fleece (warm wool from a cold war....that just makes me giggle) which is a Merino/Mohair blend that's nice and soft. She sent a pattern for a cute hat and gloves, which I am plsnning on casting on for as soon as I get the yarn would into balls.
The tea looks excellent and I can't wait to try it.
And lets not forget the innocuous looking brown box the tea is sitting on. That's a tin of Killer Brownies, the best brownies I have ever tried.....they're already half gone :) I might let Matt eat one...if he's good...and he's quick about it...
You'll have to turn your head sideways to adequately appreciate the brownies, I am so not enough of a tech geek to figure out how to turn that picture around, it looks right in my Picasa album...

Back from Greece
We're back.
It sure is hard to get back into the swing of things, and I will miss sleeping in until 9. But I am happy to get back to the art of settling in, whenever I get time for that. I have a paper for a class I am on the fence about dropping, my soccer team has playoffs tonight, Game 1 of the World Series is tonight and tomorrow and then suddenly, it's the weekend, and my parents coming up to bring all the wedding and shower presents.
Weddings are like Christmas, only it's not just a day, it's like months of presents :)
Hopefully I'll be able to post pictures from Greece in the next few days, we have some fantasic pictures. Matt just wants to play around with editing them first.
Back to work/class.

From Santorini, because I am that addicted to the internet...
QUESTIONS
1. Whole bean or ground? Whole bean
2. Fully-loaded or decaf? Caffeine loaded
3. Regular or flavored? Regular
4. How do you drink your coffee? A bit of half and half, a bit of sugar and a BIG mug
5. Favorite coffee ever? Probably the coffee from the roaster in Silicon Valley, I, of course, do not know the name.
6. Are you fussy about your coffee or will any old bean do? Well, I've outgrown Dunkin Donuts, and most flavored coffees, but as long as it's dark and strong, I'm not that picky.
7. Favorite treats to have with your coffee?
Chocolate or pastries.
8. Anything else about your coffee preferences? Nothing I can think of at the moment.
9. Yarn/fiber you love? I really love llama, but really anything soft.
10. Yarn/fiber you hate? I don't like cheesey fake yarns, I'm a bit of a natural fiber snob, but if it's a blend in the name of machine washable, I can get behind that :)
11. What’s on your needles? My first socks and a dishcloth and a steering wheel cover and a sweater that I don't have the heart to frog yet.
12. Favorite colors? I really love dusty purple. But anything with blues and greens and sublte earthtones I really love.
13. Allergies? Myself. Seriously. But besides that nothing else :)
14. Anything you really love, really don’t like, or just need to get off your chest? I really love ponies. And kitties books and flowers and gardens. Greece has some really pretty gardens and is quite overrun with cats. I ran into the Greek version of my cat the other day in Paros. It was Greek Myha down to the pitiful meows for attention. It was pretty funny :)

Almost there and almost ready for the wedding craziness...
I finished facecloth #4 a few days ago and have the very humble beginings of start #2 of facecloth #5. I must remember to not drink wine and knit, especially in the round. I had an exam this morning, and tomorrow I will have to have everything packed and ready to go to Massachusetts for our wedding weekend. I will be on my honeymoon in Greece for 2 fantastic weeks and will be free from work and pets and the internet. I hope I don't go too crazy :)
I am both grateful and anxious for my hour of soccer tonight. It will be a great stress reliever to get out there and sprint and kick and sweat but I do wish I could have the hour back for making bridesmaid gifts. I feel I will be taking alot of unfinished wedding business with me, which I guess is to be expected, but not so calming and relaxing...
